The Benefits Of Stretching

Many people find themselves in pain from spending too much time sat down, working.

Is the answer to get new chairs to tackle pain issues,

Or, if it to do the exercises needed to get the body working correctly again?

In my view education is always a number priority of mine.

Most of my clients spend some of their time each day using a foam roller.

And some, use this simple routine below.

Anatomy is a huge subject. I’m still learning every day about the body.

But, what I do know has helped many people over the years. Just adding these exercises that I have shared today will make a difference to your life.

We just have to make it a habit. I like to use this flow diagram, Force > power > habit

At first we have to force something to get the ball rolling, then we have the power to continue and, eventually it becomes a habit. something I see people post regularly on my LinkedIn posts is that they need to make more time to stretch.

Whilst stretching can be time consuming, it has many benefits.

Restoring muscles to the original length after a workout, from sitting all day or from just general movement, this will keep you in a better posture.

We have fascia tissue surrounding our muscles and other connective tissue throughout the body.

Movement and stress can make this become tight. Foam rolling and stretching can certainly help to restore good function to fascia tissue and muscles.

That’s all for today’s blog post.

If you are interested in working with me, either in-person or online like many of my clients do.
